Guard Wayne Ellington joined the Lakers with a non-guaranteed one year deal for $ 1.1 Million but on monday his contract became guaranteed $581,692 locking in almost 55% of his total salary, the sixth year guard is averaging 7.5 points through 10 appearances shooting 50% from the field and 36.7 from the three point range, Ellington was recently granted leave because he had to go back to his home town because his father Wayne Ellington SR. was shot to death in a tragic shooting, with the Lakers having 4 players out with extended injuries the team may be granted an exception to have a 16th player added to their roster because of all the players they have lost due to injuries. I'm guessing that the Lakers are going to use the 16th spot on their roster on Earl Clark who has been on the Lakers before but they are thinking about bringing him up from the D league they have had talks about signing him for a while now but the deal hasn't been finalized they say that they could either wait for the NBA to finalize hardship exception to finish the deal or waive the injured Xavier Henry who is owed a guaranteed $1.1 Million deal. my opinion is i don't think they should trade Xavier Henry because he is a great player when healthy he recently came back from a couple of injuries but he ended up getting hurt again he tore his achilles so he is out for the year. so i think they should just wait for the NBA to approve the hardship exception so they could keep Xavier Henry and get Earl Clark
