2 unlucky signings

My opinion on Kobe’s contract extension is that he did take a big contract extension but what I was reading is that they still have a lot more money to sign different players around him but the last two players they got to play with Kobe didn’t work out like Dwight Howard the Lakers signed him and he only stayed for a year because Kobe and Dwight didn’t get along. The Lakers also signed Steve Nash to a 2 year contract that didn’t go so well because his first season with the Lakers he got hurt and had to sit out the rest of the season, this season wasn’t any different he said he felt great at the beginning he injured his back carrying bags and this injury took him out also. My opinion on the Lakers is that they need to sign younger players and build a franchise around all the younger players that have the potential to keep the Lakers a contender during the season.

Tough Start

There has been talk about trading Kobe since the Lakers are 0-5 and they are blaming Kobe for the poor start the Lakers are having because he shot the ball more then anybody else on the team. They said if the Lakers do decide to trade Kobe they will be looking towards signing Rajon Rondo next summer. Kobe has a no trade clause which means if the Lakers do plan on trading him before his contract is up then he has the right to say no I want to stay here.

Charles Barkley said that he will not eat a meal until the Lakers win a game they have started the season 0-5 saying that they will have to get a win out of the next 4 games against the Hornets, Grizzlies, Pelicans or Spurs. They said that the coaches unwillingness to play good, smart basketball, it isn’t going to be an easy task. On TNT they were talking about the Lakers next win can come win can come on December 2 against the Detroit Pistons.

Byron Scott said that he wants everybody to stop putting so much blame on Kobe he needs his team mates to step up and not always look for him they need to take open shot and not pass them up, Byron Scott said “ they cant be afraid to fail that’s the biggest thing you’ve just got to be able to go out there and play”.

The Lakers played against the New Orleans pelicans they played yesterday and the Lakers coach was not happy at all he said that their defense was terrible, at one point in the game they trailed by 23 points the final score of the game was 109-102 Kobe Bryant said “ marveled at how many points the Lakers gave up in the paint. The Lakers Focused on defense all season but the Lakers still rank last in the NBA defensive efficiency.

Steve Nash isn’t able to play this season so the Lakers coach Byron Scott called him to see if he wanted to be a mentor to the young Lakers, But Nash hasn’t called Byron Scott back so he doesn’t know what is going on they said it is possible that they will trade him but with the new CBA (Collective Bargaining Agreement) there wouldn’t be any value on trading Steve Nash.
